  • Work Cover & TAC = Yes, we accept all work cover and TAC patients with a valid claim number. We do not charge any surcharge or gap for consultations, although a cancellation policy is still valid for Work cover and TAC patients.

Patients with a valid claim number DO NOT specifically require a GP referral to attend physiotherapy. We offer all services including Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Exercise classes, Gym memberships and consumable items as required for best care.

Department of Veteran Affairs = Yes, we accept all DVA patients with a valid DVA card. DVA patients with the exception of TPI DVA card holders require a GP referral for each 12 sessions used. Patients are entitled to get as many referrals as required per year but require a referral prior to attending physiotherapy.

Please contact the manager to discuss your specific circumstances if this policy prevents you from being able to attend Physiotherapy.

  • A referral from your GP is generally NOT necessary, however we do appreciate it. Physiotherapists are primary practitioners, with an expertise in diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries. Private health funds do not require a GP referral to provide a rebate. Similarly Workcover and TAC also generally do not require GP referrals for Physiotherapy approval, but a GP is required for the first Certificate Of Capacity if time off work or altered work is required.

For Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) aka Team care Arrangements (TCA’s) a GP referral and Care plan is required prior to your first session. Your General Practitioner will determine how many will be allocated to Physiotherapy. A maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year can be approved over all Allied Health disciplines

  • We recommend wearing loose fitting or flexible clothing. Most injuries require physical treatment and exposure of the injury site, so consideration to your clothing should be made. Your Skinny Black jeans may look cool, but are typically not ideal for knee injuries. But rest assured that we do have private rooms, and we have ‘borrow’ shorts available if needed.

We have male and female change rooms if changing attire is required. Disrobing of some clothing may be required for assessment and treatment, which your physiotherapist will discuss during the consultation.

  • Yes, we have male, female restrooms including a change room space and shower. We also have a disabled / parental change room and toilet if required.

  • Yes we have a chilled water filter in our Rehabilitation Gym.

At Reload Physio we are making a concerted effort to reduce our impact on the environment, so we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle to classes. Glasses will also be available for use on the occasions that you forget your water bottle.

  • Physiotherapists can refer for some investigation however in many instances a greater Medicare rebate can be achieved with a GP or Specialist referral. If you have recent imaging or reports of your injury, we encourage you to bring them to your Initial Consultation to form part of our clinical reasoning process.

Contrary to many beliefs, any ‘abnormal’ findings found on your scan may not be a contributing factor to your pain. Our assessment and diagnosis skills can help confirm the relevance of the findings from your imaging.

  • We are not currently a member of any preferred provider scheme. Like many quality Private Physiotherapy Practices, at Reload Physio are not willing to trade our standards of care for cost cuts. Why? We encourage you to click here for more information.

We are very proud of our facilities and the quality and diversity of the services that we provide at Reload Physio, this would not be possible if we were part of these preferred provider programs.

You are still able to use your normal coverage of private health insurance, usually called ‘Extras Cover’ on services at Reload Physio.

  • We appreciate all feedback and recommendations to improve your care and the care of others. Feedback via email is preferred at feedback@reload.physio or if you prefer in person, please ask to speak to a manager whilst at the clinic.

If you are unsatisfied with your consultation for any reason, please contact us directly so we can try our best to rectify the issue and best help you with your issue.
